- This is purely an opinionated question; I believe citizenship grades teach a person to become a better person, while academic grades merely show you how much a person has learned in a certain subject.

- There is: If we reward and encourage students to get good citizenship grades, they will work harder to gain better citizenship grades.

- Citizenship grades create better, well-rounded citizens. Without citizenship grades, we would not have a way to teach students how they are doing/what they can do to change to become better citizens.
